Creativity: The Gift of Morpheus

We are all born creative, with flickering flames of imagination dancing in our mental theaters.
How does the creative genus survive to become famous like Shakespeare, Betovahn, Stan Lee, Einstein, and others?
Creativity is more than just artistic ability; it can also be applied to problem solving and conflict resolution, among other things.
Creativity is an important aspect of personal and professional development that should not be overlooked.
It is, in fact, a muscle that must be maintained through discipline and consistent practice.
Creativity is defined as the ability to come up with unique and valuable ideas or solutions to problems. It necessitates the use of imagination, critical thinking, and divergent thinking.
Creativity is at the heart of human progress; progress necessitates divergent solutions to overcome limiting factors.
It was the night before my seventh birthday, and I was spending the night at my grandparents' house when I fell asleep.
I awoke in a dream as soon as I closed my eyes, as if teleported into a forest from a novel or a film.
I saw my grandfather walking in the distance in this dreamscape.
As I approached him, I noticed him approaching a large raging river.
My grandfather Benjamin looked around for something to help him cross.
I hid behind a tree when he looked in my direction.
He was already on the other side of the river when I looked back.
When I arrived at the river, my grandfather was on his way to a cabin.
As I looked around, I noticed some floating objects in the river.
They were toys being carried away by the strong current.
The water began to boil, and horns emerged from it, followed by the head of a dragon staring into my very soul.
My eyes opened; it felt like I had only just laid down, but it was morning.
That was the start of my creative journey.
I recall wanting to learn how to draw dragons and inquiring about the meaning of dreams. This gift from Morpheus (one of the seven Greek gods responsible for dreams) would grow exponentially over the course of my life. However, I noticed that some people were not creative.
Modern education is designed to teach students to think logically and linearly, often at the expense of creative thinking.
Math and science skills are prioritized over creative exploration and problem-solving.
Which is probably why I disliked math so much in school. Students are frequently taught to memorize information rather than think creatively and explore.
Because students are not encouraged to explore their own ideas and perspectives, this limited approach can lead to a decline in creativity. Societal norms and expectations can also limit creative thinking by imposing constraints on what is acceptable or valuable.
Many people, for example, may be discouraged from pursuing creative fields as a result of societal pressure to pursue more "practical" or "lucrative" career paths.
This pressure can stifle creative expression and stifle personal growth. Fear and insecurity can also stifle creative expression because people are too self-conscious or afraid of failure to pursue creative endeavors.
Fear of failure can be a significant impediment to creative thinking because it causes a reluctance to take risks or try new things. This can limit our ability to generate novel and valuable ideas or solutions over time.
To overcome the decline in creativity, it is critical to identify the factors impeding creative expression.
Creativity is an enjoyable and exciting aspect of being human! You can make whatever you want, such as painting a picture, building a castle, or writing a story.
Every day practice is required to improve your creative abilities. This entails making time every day to be creative, such as by drawing or playing with building blocks.
The more you practice, the better you'll become at coming up with new ideas. You might be afraid to try new things or create something new at times. However, it is critical to be brave and take creative risks.
This entails trying new things and not being afraid to make mistakes. Everyone makes mistakes from time to time, and that's fine. It's how we grow and learn! When you take creative risks, you may discover new things you never imagined possible.
Remember that being creative is about having fun and using your imagination. You can make whatever you want, and there are no wrong answers when it comes to creativity. Don't be afraid to experiment and let your imagination run wild! You can become an amazing artist, builder, writer, or whatever else you want to be with daily practice and the courage to take creative risks.
Sending your creative work out into the world without fear of being judged can be a liberating experience that few people go through. I
t is critical to understand that there is no right or wrong way to be creative, and that you can create whatever you want! You can channel your energy and focus on creating something meaningful and impactful when you have an idea for a creative project.
Failure and experimentation are natural parts of the creative process. When you try something new for the first time, you may not get it right the first time. This is fine! Experimenting entails trying new things and determining what works and what does not.
Failure occurs when things do not go as planned, but this is also acceptable. Failure is a learning experience that can help you grow and improve your skills. Finding your personal style and voice is another important aspect of expressing your creativity.
Scott Adams once said something that I really like: "Allowing yourself to make mistakes is part of being creative. Knowing which ones to keep is an art form."
Find your muse, whether it comes from a dream, another artist, or simply the desire to express yourself, and let it loose, releasing the pent-up creative forces within yourself.
Who knows, you might be the creative inspiration for someone else, and your art may be able to heal that person of an emotion or repressed thought that has been tying up their joy.
I wholeheartedly believe that art is a soul medicine that can heal both the creator and the recipient.
